Background: Children with classical congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) require glucocorticoid replacement. In addition to auxological examinations, laboratory measurements of e.g. 17-hydroxyprogesterone and androstenedione in serum are also necessary to assess the required dosage of hydrocortisone.
